The Media tars all conservatives as stupid.  And yet, Liberals are braniacs.

To wit...Uber-intelligent House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn (D-SC) was interviewed today on the subject of the economy and the new budget, "We have been talking very longly about our investment in nuclear energy."

What if Sarah Palin had said that?

What if Dan Quayle had said that?

A MESSAGE TO ALL RESIDENTS OF ILLINOIS 10th DISTRICT

Next Tuesday, many of you (hopefully, all) will be voting in the GOP primary for the Congressional seat vacated by Mark Kirk.

There are only two candidates in play, State Rep Beth Coulson, and small business owner, Robert Dold.

The Last Lion fully, completely, and enthusiastically endorses Robert Dold.

Forget the fact that Dold is a strong fiscal conservative, businessman, and committed to real common sense change in DC....

No, for this post, I want to highlight the RINO characteristics of Beth "Scozzafava" Coulson.

• voted 87% of the time with Julie Hamos (democrat), on substantive legislation in Springfield.
• sent a political mailer in 2008 featuring her with Barack Obama and highlighting the Coulson/Obama agenda.
• sponsored an Illinois Cap & Trade bill that all business groups opposed (now claims to oppose the federal cap & trade bill).
• has been endorsed by and received money from the SEIU ACORN in Illinois.
• voted present on HB5254 sponsored by Barack Obama to make government-run healthcare in Illinois. The rest of the Republicans voted no.
• sponsored a sales tax increase costing taxpayers $500 million per year.
• voted to give illegal immigrants Illinois’ drivers’ licenses and give illegal immigrants in-state tuition.
• would not endorse Mark Kirk on September 14, 2000 over Lauren Beth Gash.
• received 85% of her donations from PAC’s and special interest groups, only 15% from individuals.
• voted against legislation to end the pay hike schemes that allowed state employees and teachers to take advantage of the pension system, costing taxpayers over $1 billion a year. Why did she vote that way? Likely because the endorsements and large amounts of political donations she received from SEIU and the teachers’ unions.
• has 2 democrats running her campaign.
• None of the grassroots organizations have endorsed Coulson.

Beth "Scozzafava" Coulson is no different than the Dems in this race. 

For real, conservative, common sense, government-shrinking, tax-cutting, Obama-opposing, job-creating leadership for the 10th District, ROBERT DOLD is the only choice!!!

SORRY, LIBS....

I've seen more than my fair share of spinning weasels on TV trying to promote the narrative that Obama is just like Reagan and that he is facing the exact same scenario in his first term as did Reagan.

That's a wonderful argument, unfortunately, there are two fatal flaws in this line of thinking.

1) Reagan had a DEMOCRAT congress to run against.  Obama can rail against "fat cat bankers on Wall Street" all he wants, but the fact is, the American people are pissed at DC and the over-reaching, over-taxing, over-spending DEMOCRAT congress. 

Hard to play the Reaganite Populist against your own self and your own party.

2) Reagan's brilliance was his ability to key on 3 big issues: cutting taxes, shrinking government, building-up the military.

He wasn't all over the place with crappy health legislation (that most people DON'T support)...He didn't try and appease every special interest group he could...and he didn't lie about not-raising taxes, being transparent, and being a moderate.

So, try again, Libs...Your Guy is going down in flames, but if you think that he's Reagan, you're even more clueless than I thought.

You know, one of the great fringe-benefits to last night stunning Scott Brown victory is the unmitigated joy that comes from watching the idiots at MSNBC try and spin the Democrat Disaster into a Wonderful Event...

But it also reminds me that, while she's beloved by Liberals the world over, Rachel Maddow's cute-little-mugging-schtick is as painfully annoying as dropping one's balls in a rusty old paper shredder.

WOW...

As I watch the results from Massachusetts roll lovingly in, all I can think of is this...

On so many levels...

Why Obama won last year...Why Coakley will lose tomorrow...Why the Dems are getting slaughtered in DC over this health-care debacle...Why people like James Carville predicted a 40 year Liberal Reich.

This guy's appeal is all TV and glitz and US Magazine and TMZ...This could be the line outside a U2 concert, for crying-out-loud.

People were duped elected Obama because of many factors: Bush fatigue, a pliant/sycophantic Media, because he pretended not to be a Leftist, because he pretended to be moderate...They did not vote for him because they thirst for liberal policies (okay, some did).

This video sums it all up rather nicely, I'd say.

But am I the only one who thinks that MSNBC & CNN are doing wall-to-wall coverage on the Haiti quake because they don't want to give any attention to the Mass Senate race?

I mean, how many damn times do I need to see footage of Dr. Gupta walking around in O.R. scrubs before I get the point that there are people in need of medical attention down there?

REASON #2,192 WHY I CAN'T STAND MIKE HUCKABEE

People often ask me why I can't stand the phony, folksy, snake-oil salesman ex-Governor from Arkansas...I always respond that I don't know why, but I just don't - can't put my finger on it - and that I find him somehow off-putting.

Well, these sorts of stories help to make my case more concrete - from NRO.com:

"The ambush and murder of four police officers in a suburban Seattle coffee shop on Sunday took a decidedly political turn when it was discovered that the prime suspect in the killings, 37-year-old Maurice Clemmons, was once granted clemency by former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee."

OH, SHUT UP, MEDIA.

So let me get this straight...

EVERYONE in the ObamaBot Media is saying that New Jersey had NOTHING to do with Obama.  The fact that he went there three times in the final week and the fact that they spent tens of millions of dollars on Corzine (not to mention the fact that he campaigned for VA loser Creigh Deeds, as well) and still failed, had NOTHING to do with Obama, damnit!

But Sarah Palin, who endorsed Hoffman on facebook, is a CANCER, and the fact that Hoffman lost (closely) is PROOF that Sarah Palin is a LOSER!
