Can't tell if it's her Dad, since we only see his arm and shoulder, but it has to be him, right?

Industry concerns about Steve Jobs' health have not gone away more than a month after the Apple CEO appeared dramatically thinner at the firm's annual developers' conference, fighting what insiders at the time were calling a "bug."
Apple is due to report earnings today, but many investors and analysts remain as interested in news of the condition of the tech titan - who is a survivor of pancreatic cancer - as they are in the numbers themselves.

PRINCETON, NJ -- Congress' job approval rating has dropped five percentage points over the past month, from 19% in June to 14% in July, making the current reading the lowest congressional job approval rating in the 34-year Gallup Poll history of asking the question. The previous low was 18%, last reached in May.
I'm still waiting for the next "Broken Government" mini-series from CNN about this atrocious Pelosi-Reid Congress...I guess they're just waiting for the week before the November elections, just like they did in 2006...
That must be it.
Right?
Holding my breath...starting...NOW!

John Kass on Barack Obama:
... the Mr. Tumnus of American politics, the gentle forest faun of Narnia, with throngs of reporters trembling to sit with him at tea and cakes, like the little girl in the C.S. Lewis story, as he plays the flute, chanting "We Are The Change We've Been Waiting For." And nobody laughs.
You don't laugh because you can't make fun of Obama. The ground would swallow you whole.

The latest NEWSWEEK Poll shows Barack Obama leading John McCain by only 3 points. What a difference a few weeks can make.
I mean, you have NEWSWEEK, for crying out loud (basically the Obama News Weekly), calling it a statistical dead-heat...You have the VAST majority of the Obama-Love Media acting as a PR machine for his campaign and yet, it's basically even????
I wonder if Obama has to CHANGE his underwear hourly, but then again, does anyone need to CHANGE underwear at all if his shit don't stink?
Very interesting.

If we weren't in Iraq, this never would have happened:
"JONESBORO, Ga. — Twenty-five-year-old Sandeela Kanwal was not happy with the marriage her father had arranged for her. So after the ceremony was performed in Pakistan three months ago, she went to Georgia and her husband went to Chicago.
Early Sunday, after a heated argument with her father, police in Clayton County near Atlanta said, the Pakistani immigrant allegedly took a bungee cord, wrapped it around his daughter's neck and killed her."
Remember, folks. American redneck Christians are the real danger to the world...Don't take your eyes off the prize. Nothing to see here. No Jon Stewart jokes about psychos who kill their daughters with bungee cords.
Still, I keep waiting for Susan Sarandon, Charlize Theron, and Rosie O'Donnell to decry this sort of feminine objectification...Bueller? Bueller?
Guess they'd rather rail against people who oppose Roe v. Wade and gay marriage than call out people who murder their own daughters because they choose to think independently and live their lives according to their own wishes and desires.
Keep up the great work, Sisters!

Happened to catch the last installment of VH1's "Greatest Songs of the 1990's" countdown the other day. This particular episode regaled us with songs 20 through 1.
When you think that, among the top 20, they had songs from artists like; Backstreet Boys, Sir-Mix-A-Lot, Madonna, TLC, Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, Destiny's Child, MC Hammer, Alanis Morisette, Sinead O'Connor, and Whitney Houston, one can only conclude that, from a musical point-of-view, the 1990's was one mammoth shit sandwich.
At least they got it right with "Smells Like Teen Spirit" at #1, and they did, somehow, manage to get a Metallica song in there, but jeez, what a load of suckage.
