Imagine if the Chicago Bears lost a football game to New Trier High School...Would the Mainstream Media say, "Pro Team Chokes!"..."Huge Favorites Lose to High School Team!"..."Pro Team Shows Incompetence?"

I doubt it...Instead, we'd probably get:

"Evil High School Kids Prevent Bears From Winning Game."

But we're in this mess, ultimately, because our political elites thought it was good social policy to encourage banks to give mortgages to uncreditworthy people, resulting in what Sailer months ago called the "Diversity Recession" (if this doesn't work, make that the Diversity Depression). In other words, if poor people in general, or blacks or Hispanics in particular, were less likely to be approved for a mortgage, the only possible reason was racism or classism or whatever. Thus "creditworthiness" was an illegitimate, dead-white-male concept, like middleclassness. Because, after all, isn't everyone entitled to credit? Therefore, I propose any bailout bill start with these words: "It is the sense of Congress that credit is not a civil right."

It's comforting to know that no matter how turbulent and uncertain our economy may be, there will always be idiots in Hollywood.

The brilliant Laura Linney at the Emmy's the other night on some channel, sometime, allegedly:

Laura Linney also used the press opportunity following her win for best lead actress in a mini-series or movie to subtly slam Palin's remarks at the RNC regarding Sen. Barack Obama's roots as a community organizer.

"Our founding fathers were community organizers. I feel it's been disparaged a bit," Linney told us in the media tent, adding that nobody should be disrespected regardless of their party or personal upbringing."

Yeah, cause basically all Washington, Jefferson, Adams, and Franklin did in the late 1700's was troll around poor neighborhoods looking for people to sign up to vote fraudulently in elections that didn't yet exist.

Old Laura must have been a double major in history and drama.  You go, Girl...away, please.

More Great Moments in Community Organizing...

This one time, I helped organize a birthday party for some of the kids in our community.  It was awesome!  We had a clown, a juggler, a balloon-blower guy, and at the end, we had cake with candles and everything.  It felt really good to help these kids have a fun time.

It was so cool.

Authorities arrested the 39-year-old lead singer of Porno para Ricardo at his Havana home on Monday, shortly after the band had completed work on a new album. Cuban law defines "social dangerousness" as behavior contrary to "communist morality," and police use it to detain offenders before they have a chance to commit a crime.

Performing songs with angry lyrics that poke fun at or openly insult Fidel Castro and his brother Raul, who became Cuba's president in February, Porno para Ricardo is banned from official Cuban airwaves.

Next time you see a scrawny punk in a Che shirt, as him/her how they feel about jailing people for their personal beliefs...Melissa Etheridge would last about 3 minutes in a Cuban jail before she began crying and asking George Bush and Dick Cheney to save her ass from evil.
