As in, "What if Rahm Emanuel was a Republican?"  Or perhaps, "What if Karl Rove had been a board member at Freddie Mac?"

Oh, and remember the FUROR over Dick Cheney and Haliburton?

Sheesh...Don't get me started.

"Before its portfolio of bad loans helped trigger the current housing crisis, mortgage giant Freddie Mac was the focus of a major accounting scandal that led to a management shake-up, huge fines and scalding condemnation of passive directors by a top federal regulator.

One of those allegedly asleep-at-the-switch board members was Chicago's Rahm Emanuel—now chief of staff to President Barack Obama—who made at least $320,000 for a 14-month stint at Freddie Mac that required little effort.

As gatekeeper to Obama, Emanuel now plays a critical role in addressing the nation's mortgage woes and fulfilling the administration's pledge to impose responsibility on the financial world.

Emanuel's Freddie Mac involvement has been a prominent point on his political résumé, and his healthy payday from the firm has been no secret either. What is less known, however, is how little he apparently did for his money and how he benefited from the kind of cozy ties between Washington and Wall Street that have fueled the nation's current economic mess."

KEITH OLBERMANN SWIMS IN A SEA OF STUPIDITY

Famous screecher Howard Dean was on Keith Olbermann's TV thing the other night and they got to talking about how the awful Republicans are using terms like "Fascist" to describe our Messiah President God-King.

These two titans of clear, rational thinking went on to decry the use of such terms and further state that using terms like "Fascist" is beyond the pale and should be condemned.

I was going to you tube a couple of different vids to illustrate just how jaw-droppingly hypocrititcal this is, especially coming from a shameless hack like Olby, but fortunately for me, and your convienince, someone packaged the two into a nice pretty parcel for you to peruse.

And who the hell knew that in this context, Howard Dean would come off sounding like the adult in the room? 

Trick question.

The answer is anyone who's ever caught even a second of Olbermann's third grade-level gutter-schtick.

SLOUCHING TOWARDS SOCIALISM....

As our Messiah President God King leads us closer and closer to the magical wonders of collectivism and the abundant joys of socialism, I thought it would make sense to hear once again from Milton Friedman.

I'm not sure whether I am more sad that he is not here to speak Truth to Obama's Power or more happy that he is not here to have to see all this garbage go down.

Oh well.  We can't say we weren't warned.

WORST OPENING SENTENCE EVER NOMINEE...

Okay, saw this opening line in Lewis Lazare's media blog at the Chicago Sun-Times website.  The subject of last Fridays blog was local sports radio/TV host Mike North and his penchant for keeping really, really busy.

"Take it from us. Broadcaster Mike North knows how to juggle balls like nobody else juggles balls."

It's gonna take me a while to wrap my balls, I mean head, around this one, and its balls...uh, I mean, meaning, because I'm kind of confused as to what he was balls, I mean talking, about. 

Balls.

HEY, JON STEWART...

Where was the outrage when Jim Cramer was bashing the Bush Administration and their economic policies?

Why did you decide to get "mad as hell" only when your Savior took office and poor old Jim C started attacking him and his inept bunch of Keystone-Cop economists?

Maybe you'd be taken a little more seriously if you weren't such a partisan liberal hack.

Maybe you should spend less time working on your cutesy little zingers that you use to mask your lack of intellectual ability by cutting off debate thanks to the lemmings in your Arsenio-esque audiences, and more time looking at issues more fairly and evenly.

A Transcript from the Future!

KEITH OLBERMANN:  Good day.  Tonight on the Countdown, we start with a story ripped from today's headlines, to wit, the ghost of George W. Bush is interfering with Democrat plans on Capitol Hill to implant chips into peoples brains to keep them from wanting to succeed in life.

We go now to David Shuster...David?

DAVID SHUSTER: Hi, Keith.

KO: David, is this true?  Is this sad, ignorant ghost really trying to keep the chips from being implanted?  And if so, what does this say about the brazen lack of class illustrated by the late, awful, despicable President?

DS: Well, Keith...

KO:  And further, David, why won't this illiterate specter just go away?  Is it too stupid to find the door to heaven, or is it stuck in limbo because of its stubborn insistence to not admit it was wrong about weapons of mass destruction and the fact that we would be greeted as liberators in Iraq? 

DS: Well...

KO: That must be it, mustn't it?  This poltergeist refused to admit any mistakes.  This poltergeist tacitly agreed to out a hero in Valerie Plame and chose to smear her brave, dear, selfless husband, Joe Wilson.  I mean, David, what price hubris?  What can be said about this sad, small, and shabby phantom that hasn't already been said by Rachel Maddow, god rest her soul, which resides in heaven with all the other better angels of our nature and the soulful freedom fighters of Palestine?

DS: Keith, I want to just interject that Karl Rove is also probably haunting the office of House Speaker Ben Affleck...

KO:  You bring up a great point, David.  I had Speaker Affleck on the show last night, and he claims that his list of US gun owners is missing and he blames the ghost of Rove for that.

DS:  Yes, Keith, I heard that, too.

KO:  And that's a big deal because they are only halfway through the gun owner round up and camp internment.  Rove's spirit has gone too far...(TO CAMERA) You, Ghost of Rove have gone TOO FAR, sir!!  How dare you!?!  HOW DARE YOU!?!?

DS: Amen, Keith.

KO:  David, have you spoken to the only Republican left in Congress, Whatshisname?

DS: Well, I don't speak to him, but I did hear that he is happy about these developments.

KO:  Stupid Republican.  Why won't he just go away.  He is making life so hard on the other 534 Democrats in Congress.  This Conservative is being an obstructionist of the worst, or should I say best, order? 

DS: Agreed, Keith. 

KO:  This "Axis of Weasels" is really keeping President King Obama from doing what he wants. Whatshisname, the Ghost of Rove, and the Ghost of Mr. Bush are conspiring, yes, conspiring, to thwart the Great One in his plans and that's really all they have to offer, David.

DS; I couldn't agree more, Keith.

KO:  Well, Obamaspeed to you, sir.  You are doing the Lord Obama's work.  Keep fighting for justice and keep fighting that evil Republican guy and those ghosts.

DS:  Thank you, Keith.

KO:  And coming up on Worst Person in the World, there has been a surprise as the Ghost of Karl Rove has been ousted from the number one spot.  But who knocked him out?  Bush Ghost or the Republican rep from Georgia?  Stay tuned, and stay courageous.
